Durood Lakhi Benefits

Bismi Allahi arrahmani arraheem

In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful

Translation: Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace. (Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse no 56)

Hazrat Sultan Mahmood al Ghaznawi Rahmatullah alaih, used to recite as a wazeefah [ma'moolaat] with pure intentions and a lot of love this Darood one lakh times. Because of reading this long Darood one hundred thousand times, the whole day would go by and he wouldn't have much time for the administration of government. One night he saw Sayyidina Rasuli Akram Sall Allahu alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallim, who informed Hazrat Sultan Mahmood Rahmatullah alaih that the Ummat was is need of his work and the administration of government is dependent on Hazrat Sultan Mahmood al Ghaznawi.

Rasuli Akram Sall Allahu alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallim then informed the Sultan that if he recites this Darood Sharif after Salaatul Fajr once, he will receive the thawaab of having recited it one lakh times and that with the barakah of this Darood he will have lots of love for Rasuli Akram Sall Allahu alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallim, and if he recites it more than once he will get the thawab of one lakh [ one hundred thousand ] times each time he does so.

Hazrat Sultan Mahmood al Ghaznawi Rahmatullah alaih, because of this order of Sayyidina Rasuli Akram Sall Allahu alaihi wa Sallim recited this Darood once thereafter. He said to all the people based on this riwayah, that anyone from among the Ummati Muhammadi who recites it once will receive the thawaab of having recited this blessed Darood Lakhi one hundred thousand times!

DUROOD LAKHI

Translation: Muhammad and his family equal to everything of this world and the world hereafter. Blessings and peace of Allah and His Angels, prophets,Messengers and whole creature upon leader of Messengers, Leaders of pious ones'guide of ones having glitering foreheads, and intercessor of sinners, upon our master and friend Muhammad peace be upon him,

Transliteration: ala aali wa ashabihi wa azwajihi wa zur'riyatihi wa ahli baitihi wa ahli ta'aatiqa ajmaa'ena min ahlis'samawati wal ardhaina birehmatiqa yaa arhamar raheemena, wa ya akramal akramina wa sallallahu ta'ala ala saiyi'dina muhammadin'wa aalihi wa ashabihi ajma'eena,wasal'lama tasleeman da'iman abdan kaseeran kaseera wal hamdulillahi rabbil aalamina.

Translation: his family and his companions and his wives, children  and upon all his followers who live on earths and heavens. O the Most Merciful of alla Merciful ones and O the Most Beneficent of all the Beneficents. With Your mercy(accept my this request) Allah always send Your mercy and peace upon Muhammad and his family and his companinons, and all type of praises are due to Allah Who is The Lord of the worlds.

Durood Muqaddas Benefits

Translation: Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace. (Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse no 56)

Who reads this Durood Shareef in excess (day/night) will gain the maqaam or position similar to Wali, Qutub, Abdaal and Ghouse. The gains include that all the sins however big or small will be forgiven even if they are equal to the surf of oceans. (Note: I heard from my pir o murshid that ibadah that includes forgiveness of all the sins, only refers to minor sins and not major sins.)

Reading this Durood Shareef once after Fajr Salah will make Aalam e Sakraat easy and the questions asked in Qabr by Munkar and Nakeer will be easy to answer. In Aalam e Barzarkh his/her Qabr or grave will be like Jannah and he/she will always be in peace. On the day of Judgment when he/she would be made alive again then his/her face will shine like the full moon and people would look and become awestruck or surprised and would think that he is some Nabi...then they will hear an answer from Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala that he is not a Nabi but (just an average) ummati of Hazoor Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam and that he used to read this Durood Shareef with pure and clean heart and with love for Nabi e Kareem Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam and so he has got this position/muqaam.

And when Hashr wa Nashr will take place the reciter of this Durood Shareef will be given his/her Aamaal Naama (Book of Deeds) in his/her right hand by the angels and by the Barakah of this Durood Shareef the balance of good deeds will weigh more and he/she will receive the special Shifaat of Nabi Kareem Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Wa Aalihi Sallam and he/she will be given Jannah without any Hisaab o Kitaab.

If one reads this Durood Shareef for 7 Thursdays at the time of Tahajjud 11 times then one will get Shifaa from all kinds of ailments/diseases and if one makes a taaweez of this Durood Shareef and puts it in his/her neck then one will become safe from all jinns and will also be safe from the shayaateen who create waswasaas (evil whispers) and irritations.

One who reads Durood e Maqqaddas: All his/her duas are accepted so if any one wants that his/her duas for any special purpose should be accepted then one should read this Durood Shareef at time of Tahajjud 7 times and go in Sajdah and do dua.. InshaAllah Azawajal his/her dua will be accepted and all his needs will be fulfilled InshaAllah Azawajal. If any woman ischildless then one should read this Durood Shareef for 40 days, 3 times everyday and do dam on water and then let her drink it.. InshaAllah Azawajal by Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala's fazal she will be blessed with Aulaad (Offspring).

One who reads this Durood Shareef on the Friday Night (i.e the night between Thursday and Friday) before going to sleep.. then Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala will bless him/her with 4 things:

1) Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala's khushnudi,

2) Khushnudi of Nabi Pak Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam,

3) He/She will enter Jannah without any Hisaab o Kitaab,

4) Increasement in his sustenance.

If the Ahle Rohaniyat read this Durood Shareef they will get immense promotions quickly. And the one who desires to doZiyarat of Hazoor Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallamand reads this Durood Shareef with that Niyyah (Intention) everyday before going to sleep for 40 days will InshaAllah Azwajal get the blessing of seeing or doing Ziyarat of our Beloved Nabi Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi Wa Aalihi WaSallam.

Yaa Illahi bi-hurmati badni Muhammadin wa-batni Muhammadin wa-barkati Muhammadin wa-bayati Muhammadin wa-buraqi Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi bi-hurmati tawaludhi Muhammadin

Transliteration: wa-tabudi Muhammadin wa-tahajuli Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi bi-hurmati sanaayi Muhammadin wa-sawabi Muhammadin wa-samati Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi jalali Muhammadin wa-jamali Muhammadin wa-jalli Muhammadin wa-wajhati Muhammadin wa-jadi Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi bi-hurmati husni Muhammadin wa-hasanati Muhammadin wa-hurmati

Transliteration: Muhammadin wa-haali Muhammadin wa-hulyati Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi bihurmati khilqati Muhammadin wa-khulqi Muhammadin wa-khutbati Muhammadin wa-khyarti Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi deeni Muhammadin wa-diyanati Muhammadin wa-duwlati Muhammadin wa-darajati Muhammadin wa-duaai Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi bihurmati zati Muhammadin wa-zikri Muhammadin wa-zuwaqi

Ya Illahi bihurmati roohi Muhammadin wa-raasi Muhammadin wa-rizqi Muhammadin wa-rafiqi Muhammadin wa-rizzai Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya-Illahi bihurmati zuhdi Muhammadin wa-zahadati Muhammadin wa-zari Muhammadin wa-zenati Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Transliteration: Muhammadin wa-salami Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi bihurmati shari Muhammadin wa-sharfi Muhammadin wa-shuoki Muhammadin wa-shaadi Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi bihurmati sidqi Muhammadin wa-sowmi Muhammadin wa-salawati Muhammadin wa-saffaai Muhammadin wa-sabri Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Transliteration: Ya Illahi gurbati Muhammadin wa-gaari Muhammadin wa-ghurrati Muhammadin wa-gayrati Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya illahi bihurmati qulli Muhammadin wa-qadri Muhammadin wa-qanaati Muhammadin wa-quwati Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi bihurmati fakhri Muhammadin wa-fakri Muhammadin wa-firaki Muhammadin wa-fazilaati Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi bihurmati kalami Muhammadin

Transliteration: Wa-kashfi Muhammadin wa-kosishi Muhammadin wa-kitabati Muhammadin wa-qaynati Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi bihurmati layli Muhammadin wa-liqaayi Muhammadin wa-liyaqati Muhammadin wa-mujahidati Muhammadin wa-mushahidati Muhammadin wa-mulahizi Muhammadin wa-masahati Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi bihurmati naazi Muhammadin wa-namazi Muhammadin wa-naseeri Muhammadin wa-naqiri

Transliteration: Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi bihurmati wa-ruwdi Muahammadin wa-waqaayi Muhammadin wa-wujudi Muhammadin wa-widyati Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi bihurmati himati Muhammadin wa-hidayati Muhammadin wa-hadyati Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Ya Illahi yaari Muhammadin wa-yaganiki Muhammadin sallallahu alaihi wasallam. la ilaha illallah muhammadun

Transliteration: Rasulullahi sallallahu alaihi wa-alla-allhi wa-ashaabi wasalam biadadi ma huwal maktoobu fi lohi wal-qalam fe quli yawmin wa-laylatin saatin wa-nufsin wall-muhyatin alfi miaatin alfi maratin ila yawmil-ilmi alla in awaliya Allahi la kahfun alaihim wala-hum yahzanoon birehmatika yaa-arhamarahimeen.

Wudhu (Ablution)

Purpose & Importance of Wudu (The Spiritual Purity)

Wudu/Ablution All Muslims are required to do the ritual cleansing (wudu) before performing their prayers. We want to make sure that we are in a physical sense, as well as a spiritual sense, “purified” before we face Allah. Prayer is not accepted if you do not perform wudu.

The act of wudu consists of washing the face and the fore-arms, and wiping the head and the feet. These six parts of human body -face, both fore-arms, head and both feet are known as “the organs of wudu”.

Wudu by itself is always a recommendable act in Islamic rituals, but it becomes obligatory in certain cir­cumstances. One of such circumstances is the daily ritual prayers; and therefore it is important for every Muslim to know the method of wudu and its rules.

The following is a summary of the wudu

1. Making the intention (niyyat) in one's mind.

2. (Bismillah), Washing the hands and arms 

3. Gargling three times

4. Rinsing the nose three times

5. Washing the face three times

6. Washing the right fore-arm three times

7. Washing the left fore-arm three times

8. Wiping the head and clean the ears 

9. Wiping the right foot 

10. Wiping the left foot

Importance of Wudu for Muslims

Quran says: “O you who believe! When you stand up for ritual prayer (sala), wash your face and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe a part of your head and your feet up to ankles.” (5:6)

 And Allâh loves those who make themselves clean and pure and water from urine and stools, after answering the call of nature].  Qur'an - At-Tauba 9:108

 "Surely Allah loves those who turn to Him and those who care for cleanliness" (2:22).

 For touching the writings of the Qur' an: Allah says,

“None shall touch it except the purified ones.” (56:79)

Hadith

 Narrated Nu`am Al-Mujmir: Once I went up the roof of the mosque, along with Abu Huraira. He perform ablution and said, "I heard the Prophet saying, "On the Day of Resurrection, my followers will be called "Al-Ghurr-ul- Muhajjalun" from the trace of ablution and whoever can increase the area of his radiance should do so (i.e. by performing ablution regularly).' "

 The Prophet (SAW) said, "Allah does not accept prayer without purification " (Sahih - Muslim and others)

Note: Ghusal karney ke baad wudhu karna lazim nahi magar badan ko saaf karte waqt agar haath sharmgaah ko chu jaye to phir usey wudhu karna padhega

English Translation:

It was narrated from Busrah bint Safwan Radi-Allahu-Anha that the Prophet Peace be upon him  said: If any one of you touches his private part with his hand, let him perform Wudu

It was narrated by Aisha Radi-Allahu-Anha that the Messenger of Allah Peace be upon him would not perform Wudhu ( Ablution) after Ghusl (Bath)

Aisey shaksh ke liye jannat ke 8 darwazey khol diye janyegey aur wo shaksh jannat ke jis darwazey se chahey dakhil ho jaye

Then eight gates of Paradise will be opened for  him, and he may enter through whichever one he wishes

Narrated Nu'am Al-Mujmir Radiallahu anhu : Once I went up the roof of the mosque, along with Abu Huraira. He perform ablution and said, "I heard the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam saying, "On the Day of Resurrection, my followers will be called "Al-Ghurr-ul-Muhajjalun" ( the person who have white hands ,legs and face) from the trace of Ablution and whoever can increase the area of his radiance should do so (i.e. by performing ablution regularly).'

Uthman b. 'Affan reported: The Messenger of Allah (way peace be upon him) said: He who performed ablution well, his sins would come out from his body, even coming out from under his nails.

Aapney farmaya Ek chullu paani lekar us Muqam par chidak do jahan tumhey mehsus ho madhi lagi hai

Narrated Sahl ibn Hunayf may ALLAH be pleased with him : I felt greatly distressed by the frequent flowing of prostatic fluid (Madhi). For this reason I used to take a bath very often. I asked the apostle of Allah  peace_be_upon_him about this. He Peace be upon him replied: Ablution will be sufficient for you because of this. I asked: O Apostle of Allah , what should I do if it smears my clothes. He Peace be upon him  replied: It is sufficient if you take a handful of water and sprinkle it on your clothe when you find it has smeared it.

Explanation: 

Other than urine, there are basically three types of discharges that are released from one’s private organs:

Wadi (a thick white secretion immediately after uniration by some people)

Madhi (a sort of slow release of lubricant just prior to a full sexual discharge)

Mani (a full sexual discharge)

If only Wadi or Madhi is released, one does not require a ‘ghusl’ or full bath to purify himself; he must wash his private parts and the part of his clothes or body where the‘wadi’ or ‘madhi’ has touched, do the wudu, and he would be available for prayer.

If Mani is released, then it become obligatory to perform a ‘ghusl’ or full bath to purify oneself.

Narrated Some Companions of the Prophet may ALLAH be pleased with him : The Prophet Peace be upon him  saw a person offering prayer, and on the back of his foot a small part equal to the space of a dirham remained unwashed; the water did not reach it. The Prophet  peace_be_upon_him commanded him to repeat the ablution and prayer.

Narrated Abu Juhaifa may ALLAH be pleased with him I saw Allah's Apostle Peace be upon him  in a red leather tent and I saw Bilal may ALLAH be pleased with him taking the remaining water with which the Prophet Peace be upon him had performed ablution. I saw the people (Sahaba) taking the utilized water impatiently and whoever got some of it rubbed it on his body and those who could not get any took the moisture from the others' hands.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar Radi Alllahu Anhu  :AbuGhutayf al-Hudhali reported: I was in the company of Ibn Umar . When the call was made for the noon (zuhr) prayer, he performed ablution and said the prayer. When the call for the afternoon ('asr) prayer was made, he again performed ablution. Thus I asked him (about the reason of performing ablution). He replied: The Apostle of ALLAH peace be upon him  said: For a man who performs ablution in a state of purity, ten virtuous deeds will be recorded (in his favour).

Sunan Abu Dawud,  Vol 1, 55,56 ( Sahih)

Narrated  Ummul Mu'minin Aisha Radi Alllahu Anha  : Ablution water and tooth-stick were placed by the side of the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him). When he got up during the night (for prayer), he relieved himself, then he used the tooth-stick. The Prophet  peace_be_upon_him  did not get up after sleeping by night or by day without using the tooth-stick before performing ablution.

English Translation:

Narrated Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu  :I saw Allah's Apostle Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam when the 'Asr prayer was due and the people searched for water to perform ablution but they could not find it. Later on (a pot full of) water for ablution was brought to Allah's Apostle Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam  . He Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam  put his hand in that pot and ordered the people to perform ablution from it. I saw the water springing out from underneath his ( Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ‘s)  fingers till all of them performed the ablution

 (it was one of the miracles of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ).

Hazrat Usman Radi Allahu Anhu ne wudhu kiya to farmaya Main tumko  EK hadith Sunata hu Agar Quran paak ki Ek Aayat (Nazil) na hoti to main ye Hadith tumko na sunata , Rasoollallah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya jab  bhi koi Achchi tarah wudhu karta hai to aur namaz parhta hai to uskey ek Namaz se Dusri namaz ke parhney tak ke Gunaah Maaf kar diye jaatey hain

 Urwah radi allahu anhu kahtey hain wo ye aayat ye hai  “Jo log Allah ki us Nazil ki huyee Hidayat ko Chupatey hain jo usney logon ke liye Apni kitab mein bayan ki hai , Un Par Allah ki Laanat hai aur (Dusrey) Laanat karney walon ki laanat hai”

 ( Al Quran , Al Baqrah : 159)

Narrated Humran Radi Allahu Anhu  (the slave of 'Uthman) After performing the ablution 'Uthman Radi Allahu Anhu  said, "I am going to tell you a Hadith which I would not have told you, had I not been compelled by a certain Holy Verse (the sub narrator 'Urwa said: This verse is: "Verily, those who conceal the clear signs and the guidance which we have sent down...)" (Al Quran: 2:159).

 I heard the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam  saying, 'If a man performs ablution perfectly and then offers the compulsory congregational prayer, Allah will forgive his sins committed between that (prayer) and the (next) prayer till he offers it.
