the lives of Muslims. To further read about the Four rightly guided caliphs in Islam you may visit this link for further knowledge. Let us move ahead for the life of the 4th caliph of Islam.
After
the affliction of third caliph Hazrat Usman (RA) in the year, 35 A.H
Hazrat Ali took the charge and turned into the fourth caliph of Muslims.
This was an incredible testing time for Hazrat Ali (RA) as he needed to
work against the uprisings as well as needed to keep up harmony in the
region. He (RA) likewise needed to change the Muslim capital to Kufa, in
Iraq, due to extraordinary help he has over there.
He
(RA) confronted numerous troubles during his caliphate. During this
short time, he reestablished once again the engravings of the
straightforward Islamic method of life, of correspondence and legitimate
procuring by hard work. Regardless of being the incomparable authority
of Islam, he wouldn’t fret sitting at shops and selling dates. He wore
fixed garments, sat in the organization of needy individuals on the
ground and ate food with them. He generally tried to guarantee that the
pay of Baitul Mal should reach the legitimate people as fast as could be
expected under the circumstances. The rule of Hazrat Ali (RA) goes on
for about 5 years.
Moving towards Last years of Imam Ali RA
Even
though he kept on having staunch supporters, ʿAli RA’s power was
debilitated in numerous territories during the most recent two years of
his caliphate. Various unmistakable Muslims even met in Adruh in 659
with the idea of ousting both ʿAli and Muʿāwiyah and selecting as caliph
ʿAbd Allah, child of ʿUmar, yet they didn’t arrive at an ultimate
choice. In the interim, a portion of the Khārijites chose to kill ʿAli
RA, Muʿāwiyah, and ʿAmr ibn al-ʿAṣ. Although the last two got away, ʿAli
RA didn’t: on the nineteenth of Ramadan in the year 661, he was struck
in the rear of the head with a poisoned sword while supplicating in the
mosque of Kufa. He passed on two days after that and was covered in
Al-Najaf. Alongside Qom in Iran, Al-Najaf became—and stays right up ’til
the present time—one of the most significant seats of learning and a
significant journey site.
